whosthewhatnow: Kinda sad now I asked the artist for the Pushing Daisies comic, Chris Gugliotti, aka whosthewhatnow, what his thoughts were on what Bryan Fuller said at Comic Con about the comic this weekend (ICYMI, it was reported that when asked about the comic, Bryan encouraged fans to write DC Comics to tell them we want it.) Here was Chris’s response: There’s a little more to it than that but I would have nothing against finishing what we started. Part of it is that it was being published through DCs Wildstorm brand which sadly doesn’t exist anymore. It became DC digital when they opened the new offices in Burbank. The editor I was working with at the time is no longer there. I’ve never met Bryan Fuller but he sent me a big basket of daisy and tombstone shaped cookies and a lovely note when we started the project. I was hoping for a pie when we finished. :( And then he just posted this picture of the note *sobs*!!!!  ..but this also kind of makes me want to flood DC Comics with messages even more! ATTENTION PUSHING DAISIES FANS!!!

Pushing Daisies creator, Bryan Fuller, was in a panel at San Diego Comic Con today, and he spoke about our beloved show!!!  There are 2 important things to note:

  1. DC Comics is stalling on publishing the Pushing Daisies Comic, because they don’t think there is enough interest!! (source) As you can see in the above tweet, Bryan went on to encourage fans to let DC Comics know that they want the comic! It turns out, DC Comics has an online feedback form, so please take a moment and go HERE and let them know you want to see the comic!! In the meantime, I’m going to see if I can find a physical address to send snail mail to!
  2. From Hollywood Reporter: “Fuller also noted that there is ‘something’ regarding Pushing Daisies that he’s working on, that isn’t a miniseries or a comic but declined to provide additional details. ‘If it doesn’t go through I look like an asshole!’ he joked.” OMG!!! I really want to know what this is!!!! It seems like, if we can show DC Comics that there is interest in Pushing Daisies, that there might be a chance of other Pushing Daisies things in the future!!

WE CAN DO THIS!!!!! Let’s band together and make this happen!!! The world needs more Pushing Daises!!!!!!!! DAISIES FOREVER!!!!
